Cut glare while managing light and manipulating color.

This innovative lens technology provides a new level of performance not previously found in the Pilla lens science platform. This design specification delivers a color enhancing technology capable of reducing glare while providing optimal target definition by bleeding a very specific and regulated amount of light reflection percentage into the sight picture. The edges of targets are sharpened and crisper with a slight refection of the edges thus providing a significant enhancement of true definition. The achievement is found in the regulation of reflection - true visual modulation - not too much or too little light. Polarized lenses target 99.9% reduction in reflected light which produces a muddy sight picture by robbing the eye of definition. To achieve true definition, objects need a minimal amount of light bouncing off edges to produce sharp sight pictures. ZEISS PILLA CGR is a platform that produces a polarizing effect while enhancing the definition of targets through a modulation of light reflection. Glare reducing technologies have not been available with color manipulation until the arrival of ZEISS PILLA CGR lenses.

This lens technology is available in the OUTLAW series. The lens geometry is a specific science that delivers the stringent ZEISS requirements to be certified by ZEISS as a perfect optical instrument.

DQGR

Dark Quartz
Transmission: 15%
Direct Sun

Dark Quartz is a direct sun CGR lens that has a very balanced production of color enhancement. This lens does not favor one piece of the light spectrum over another. This technology is used to provide the athlete with a balance color profile that is vibrant and rich with definition.

LQGR

Light Quartz
Transmission: 28%
Full Sun to Medium Light

Light Quartz is based on the same thinking as the Dark Quartz lens science. This is a balance approach to enhancing the entire visual light spectrum while allowing more light into the sight picture. While the Dark Quartz is a direct sun lens the Light Quartz is a full sun to medium light lens.

Citrine

Meedium Light

The Citrine lens is a new lens color profile for Pilla where we have blended both a neutralization and light enhancement lens profile in the same lens. This lens color profile performs similarly to our neutralizing lens without shifting the sight picture profile to a purple/red shade. The Citrine lens minimizes a green backdrop but also raises the light profile of the lens making the overall sight picture brighter. This is a very special lens and a new technical achievement for Pilla for use in all situations where a medium lighting condition is experienced.

Sapphire

Medium Light

Our Sapphire lens technology is a pure based neutralizing lens for green backgrounds while reducing glare using the CGR performance. This is our highest performance neutralizing lens while providing a boost to target registration. This is a must have lens for athletes looking to manage green backgrounds.

PCGR

Pink Diamond

Medium Light

Over the years we have found that all shooters enjoy a balanced lens that provides a color lift to orange and pink targets in a manner that is not “overdone” but a reserved approach. On a scale of 1 to 10 in color lift, this approach is a “5” where our max lenses provide a “10”. The beauty of the Pink Diamond lens is the lift in color but it is soothing on the eye with unmatched glare reduction that produces razor sharp definition. This lens is a great lens for open fields, general backgrounds, and desert use.

RCGR

Ruby
Transmission: 35%
Medium Light

This is our classic orange lifting lens color profile. The Ruby lens is a red based lens with the largest boost in target orange in our CGR collection. The lens accelerates the orange pieces of the visual spectrum to produce vivid orange targets while the edges of the targets are precisely defined. For the shooter looking for the best all -around CGR lens to light up the target the Ruby lens is the choice – Dimples, rings, and the leading edge of the targets are clearly identified with this special light regulation technology.
